Broken Arrow Stone Veneer Contractor — Fireplaces, Walls & Outdoor Kitchens

Stone veneer is the finish that transforms a functional masonry structure into an architectural feature. The same outdoor fireplace or outdoor kitchen looks completely different in bare concrete block, brick, or natural stone veneer — and stone veneer gives you the aesthetic of real stone construction at a price point that makes it accessible for more projects.

VistaScapes & Design installs stone veneer throughout Broken Arrow and the Tulsa metro — on new outdoor fireplaces and kitchens we build from the ground up, and on existing structures that need a face-lift. Here’s what you need to know about stone veneer applications in Broken Arrow.

Stone Veneer Applications We Install

Outdoor Fireplace Stone Veneer

An outdoor fireplace in concrete block or standard brick becomes something entirely different when faced with natural stone or quality manufactured stone veneer. The texture, depth, and visual weight of stone creates the architectural presence that makes a fireplace the focal point of an outdoor space. We face both wood-burning fireplaces and gas fire features, including the chimney stack above the firebox, the hearth projections, and any adjacent feature walls or seating walls.

Outdoor Kitchen Stone Veneer

The exterior face of an outdoor kitchen structure — the sides and front visible to guests — is where stone veneer has the most visual impact. A kitchen structure faced in ledgestone or fieldstone integrates the kitchen into the outdoor environment with a natural material presence. We install stone veneer on all exposed kitchen structure surfaces and coordinate the veneer selection to complement the countertop material and overall design palette.

Accent Walls and Feature Walls

Stone veneer accent walls create visual weight and texture in outdoor living environments — behind a fireplace as a full-height backdrop, along the back face of a covered patio to define the space, or as a material transition between the outdoor living area and the landscape. Interior accent walls in homes are also a popular stone veneer application we complete throughout Broken Arrow.

Retaining Walls

Concrete block retaining walls faced with stone veneer look dramatically more finished than exposed block. Stone veneer on retaining walls also provides the visual connection between the wall and other stone elements in the outdoor living environment — when the kitchen, the fireplace, and the retaining walls all use coordinated stone materials, the outdoor space reads as a designed whole rather than disconnected elements.

Stone Veneer Products We Install

Natural Stone Veneer

Natural stone veneer is actual stone — cut thin (typically 1–1.5 inches) for veneer application rather than used in full-thickness structural applications. Oklahoma limestone, sandstone, and dry-stack fieldstone are available in veneer form. Natural stone veneer has the depth, texture variation, and authenticity that manufactured products approximate but don’t fully replicate. It’s the premium option for clients who want the real thing.

Manufactured Stone Veneer

Manufactured stone veneer (Eldorado Stone, Cultured Stone, and similar brands) is a concrete product cast to replicate the appearance of natural stone. When installed correctly, quality manufactured veneer looks excellent to most observers. It’s available in a wider range of profiles and colors than natural stone, and it’s more cost-effective. We install manufactured veneer to full specification — including complete mortar coverage behind each piece, which is the installation detail that determines long-term performance.

Adding Stone Veneer to an Existing Structure

One of the most cost-effective outdoor living improvements is adding stone veneer to an existing concrete block or brick outdoor fireplace or kitchen. The transformation is dramatic — same structure, completely different appearance.

The process: we assess the existing surface for soundness and bond potential, install metal lath where required for mechanical bond, apply a scratch coat mortar bed, and set the stone veneer in full mortar coverage. The existing structure stays; only the surface appearance changes.

Not every existing surface is suitable for veneering. Structures that have significant cracking, moisture issues, or structural instability need those problems addressed first. We assess the existing structure honestly during consultation.
