Water Feature Contractor Broken Arrow OK

The sound of moving water transforms an outdoor space. A well-built water feature adds life, masks neighborhood noise, attracts birds, and becomes the visual centerpiece of your landscape. VistaScapes designs and builds custom water features throughout Broken Arrow — from simple bubbling boulders to full-scale koi ponds with waterfalls and stream beds.

Water Features We Build

Pondless Waterfalls

The most popular water feature we build — a pondless waterfall gives you all the beauty and sound of a natural waterfall without an open pond. Water cascades down stacked natural stone, disappears into a gravel-covered reservoir, and recirculates via a submersible pump. No open water means no standing water for mosquitoes, no risk to small children, and far less maintenance than a traditional pond.

We build pondless waterfalls from 4 feet to over 20 feet long, using Oklahoma fieldstone, flagstone, and boulders to create completely natural appearances. These features look like they’ve always been there.

Koi Ponds

A properly engineered koi pond is a living ecosystem. We design ponds with appropriate depth (minimum 18–24 inches for koi in Oklahoma’s climate), biological filtration, mechanical filtration, and aeration — the elements that make a pond a thriving habitat rather than a maintenance nightmare.

Pond size, shape, and rock work are custom-designed to your space. We handle the full installation including excavation, liner installation, filtration system, pump, plumbing, and natural stone edging. We can also incorporate a waterfall or stream that feeds the pond.

Decorative Fountains and Bubbling Boulders

For smaller spaces or simpler installations, we build decorative fountain features using millstone fountains, basalt columns, ceramic urns, or natural Oklahoma boulders drilled and fitted with fountain heads. These features work from a small underground reservoir and are virtually maintenance-free.

Stream Beds

A dry or wet stream bed adds naturalistic movement to a landscape. Dry stream beds (no water) manage drainage while looking like a seasonal creek. Wet stream beds connect a water source to a pond or pondless basin, creating the appearance of a natural flowing stream across your property.

Rain Garden Water Features

Oklahoma gets heavy rain events that can overwhelm drainage. We design water features that also function as stormwater management — directing roof and yard runoff through decorative stream beds or rain gardens before it reaches the street or neighbors’ property.

Natural Stone Construction

We use real natural stone — Oklahoma fieldstone, Arkansas flagstone, Kansas limestone, and imported boulders — to build water features that look completely natural. Concrete forms and plastic rocks have no place in a premium landscape. Natural stone weathers and moss-covers over time, only improving in appearance.

Maintenance and Year-Round Operation in Oklahoma

Oklahoma’s winters are mild enough that most water features can run year-round with minimal precautions. We advise clients on winter shutdown procedures for ponds with fish, pump protection during hard freezes, and spring startup checklists.
