It’s one of the most popular pool deck finishes in the Tulsa metro and holds up well in Oklahoma’s climate.
Textured Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete on pool decks requires deliberate surface texture selection — smooth stamped patterns are unsafe when wet. Stone slate, cobblestone, and flagstone patterns with a broom-dragged or brushed texture on the stamp face provide both appearance and slip resistance. Light base colors (buff, sand, light gray) stay cooler underfoot than dark tints.
Full Demo and Repour
When the existing deck has significant structural cracking from sub-base failure, repour is the only reliable fix. Overlays applied over a moving slab will crack through within 2–5 years. We evaluate existing slab condition before recommending overlay vs. repour — honesty here saves clients money long-term even if the recommendation is more expensive upfront.
