What to Expect After Your Outdoor Kitchen Is Built — Maintenance and Warranty Guide

by | May 23, 2026 | Uncategorized

The day your new outdoor kitchen is complete is exciting — but it’s also the start of a long-term relationship with your investment. Knowing what to expect after the build helps you get the most out of your outdoor kitchen and protect the warranty coverage that matters. At VistaScapes Design & Build, we walk every client through a post-build orientation before we close out a project. Here’s what you need to know.

The Post-Build Walkthrough

Before we consider a project complete, we do a final walkthrough with you. We demonstrate how every appliance operates, show you where shutoff valves are located, review the maintenance schedule for your specific materials and appliances, and confirm that everything meets your expectations. This is your opportunity to ask questions — don’t hesitate to slow us down.

Appliance Warranties

Every major appliance in your outdoor kitchen comes with a manufacturer warranty. These typically cover:

  • Built-in grills: 1–5 years on parts, 1 year on labor (varies by brand)
  • Outdoor refrigerators: 2–5 years parts and compressor coverage
  • Ice makers: 1–3 years parts and labor
  • Burners and side accessories: 1–2 years

Keep your appliance paperwork and register each unit with the manufacturer — registration is often required to activate the full warranty period. We document all model and serial numbers at project completion and provide this to you for your records.

VistaScapes Workmanship Warranty

Our workmanship warranty covers structural and installation defects. If something we built or installed fails due to our workmanship rather than normal wear, we stand behind it. The specific terms are outlined in your contract. Call us at 918-779-1317 if you have any concerns about your project after completion — we take warranty calls seriously.

Annual Maintenance Schedule
