Outdoor-Rated TV
An indoor TV outside for more than one season is a display warranty failure waiting to happen — humidity, heat cycling, and Oklahoma’s spring and fall rain take an indoor TV apart quickly. Use:

Minimum screen size for an outdoor kitchen bar: 55 inches. For a dedicated game-day outdoor setup, 65 to 85 inches makes the game genuinely watchable from anywhere in the space.
Mounting Position
TV mounted on the wall or on a dedicated swing-arm bracket, at a height where seated bar guests view it at 10 to 20 degrees below eye level. Avoid mounting above a fireplace — the heat cycles and awkward neck-up viewing angle are both problems. A dedicated outdoor TV post on the edge of the patio or a pergola-integrated mount keeps the viewing angle optimal.
Sound System
Outdoor audio transforms the game-day experience. We install exterior-rated speaker systems — Polk Audio Atrium, Klipsch AW, or Sonos Outdoor — in the pergola structure or on wall mounts flanking the TV. A 2.1 system (two main speakers plus a subwoofer) delivers crowd noise and announcer clarity that makes the outdoor watching experience genuinely immersive.
The Cooking Station for Game Day Volume
Game day cooking means volume. Twenty guests, long cooking session, varied appetites. The ideal game-day outdoor kitchen:
Primary Grill: 42 to 54 Inches
A larger primary grill means more simultaneous cooking capacity — burgers, brats, chicken, and bacon-wrapped jalapeños all on at once. Side Burner for Sauces and Dips

- Lounge seating at the fire pit: Alternative viewing zone at fire-pit-level furniture for guests not at the bar — position the fire pit lounge with sightlines to the TV where possible
- Standing/food table area: A flat surface near the grill where guests can set plates without occupying bar or lounge seating during the game
