Not every outdoor kitchen project starts from scratch. Many Broken Arrow homeowners have existing outdoor kitchen structures — perhaps built years ago, maybe showing wear, or simply no longer matching the quality level they’re now looking for — and want to upgrade rather than rebuild from zero. VistaScapes & Design handles outdoor kitchen remodels and renovations with the same design quality we bring to new builds.
Common Outdoor Kitchen Renovation Scenarios
Appliance Upgrade
The most common and straightforward outdoor kitchen renovation: replacing aging or underperforming appliances with premium units. Grill replacements are the most frequent — upgrading from a big-box built-in grill to a Blaze, Coyote, or Napoleon. If the existing cutout dimensions are compatible, this can be a relatively simple swap. If not, we modify the kitchen structure to accept the new appliance dimensions properly.
Countertop Replacement
Many outdoor kitchens were built with quartz countertops or basic tile — materials that deteriorate outdoors. UV-damaged quartz develops a chalky, faded appearance within a few years of outdoor exposure. Tile grout degrades and becomes a maintenance problem. We remove existing countertops and replace them with granite, quartzite, or concrete — materials that will look great for decades outdoors.
Veneer and Finish Refresh
Stucco finishes crack and stain over time. Tile veneer can chip and look dated. We remove existing veneer and refinish outdoor kitchen bases with fresh stone veneer, updated stucco, or contemporary tile systems that completely transform the kitchen’s appearance without a full rebuild.
