Stamped Concrete Patio Installation in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Stamped concrete gives you the beauty of natural stone or brick at a fraction of the cost — and when it’s done right, it’s one of the most durable and attractive outdoor surfaces available. Popular Stamped Concrete Patterns in Broken Arrow
- Ashlar Slate: Large-format rectangular slate-look pattern — the most popular pattern in the Broken Arrow market. Clean, contemporary look that pairs beautifully with natural stone elements.
- Random Flagstone: An organic, irregular pattern that mimics natural flagstone closely. Great for traditional home styles and naturalistic landscape settings.
- Yorkstone: A European-influenced stone pattern with slightly irregular surfaces and depth variation. Upscale appearance.
- Cobblestone: A round-set cobble pattern — charming and old-world, popular for driveway aprons and courtyard applications.
- Brick Herringbone: A classic brick-set pattern laid in herringbone configuration. Traditional look that complements brick homes.
- Wood Plank: A board-and-grain pattern that mimics wood decking — popular for pool surrounds and areas where you want a natural feel without real wood maintenance.
Color Options for Broken Arrow Stamped Concrete
VistaScapes uses integral color (mixed into the concrete before pouring) as the primary color method — it’s more durable than topical stains and provides consistent color throughout the slab. We also use release agents during stamping for a two-tone, antique effect that adds depth and dimension to the finished surface. Popular color families include:
- Earth tones: tan, buff, sandstone, terra cotta
- Gray tones: light gray, charcoal, slate
- Brown tones: chestnut, walnut, dark brown
- Red tones: brick red, Adobe, rose
The VistaScapes Stamped Concrete Process
- Excavation: We excavate to the correct depth for your soil conditions — typically 6–8 inches for patios in Broken Arrow’s clay soil.
- Base preparation: 4–6 inches of compacted crushed stone base eliminates the void space that causes clay soil to push and crack concrete.
- Forming and reinforcement: Steel rebar or fiber mesh reinforcement is installed before pouring based on load requirements.
- Concrete pour: We use a concrete mix appropriate for the application and Broken Arrow’s climate.
- Color and stamp: Integral color is in the mix; release agent is broadcast before stamping; stamps are applied when the concrete reaches correct consistency.
- Control joints: Saw-cut control joints are made 24–48 hours after pour to control where shrinkage cracking occurs.
- Sealing: A quality acrylic or polyurethane sealer is applied after curing — protecting color, reducing surface wear, and making the finished surface easier to clean.
